Oxford Saïd offers three distinct programs and they are:

MBA: This program provides candidates with a solid base in business principles while incorporating a broadened mindset and understanding of the role of business in society.

1+1 MBA: This MBA programme offers the opportunity to combine a Master’s degree from selected Oxford University departments with a one-year MBA.

Executive MBA: This course is designed to offer both intellectual and practical applications and it consists of 16-18 week-long modules.

Saïd Business School MBA Application Process

The latest application requirements set by the Saïd Business School MBA admission office are described below.

These are the following essays that candidates need to submit via the online assessment platform:

Essay 1: Tell us something that is not covered in your application which you would like the Admissions Committee to know about you.
Word limit: 250 words (max)

Essay 2: If you are applying under the Oxford 1+1 MBA scheme you also need to submit the following essay:
Explain why you see this as particularly beneficial for you and how it fits with your career and personal development aims.
Word limit: 250 words (max)

Essay 3: Re-applicants will need to submit an additional essay as below:

  • What improvements have you made in your candidacy since you last applied to the Oxford MBA? (Maximum 250 words)

Candidates must also complete an online assessment as part of their application. This is to give the admissions team a sense of the candidate’s personality and their presence of mind.

Two motivation-based questions – all candidates will answer the same questions
Two competency-based questions – these will be randomized
Written response – this will be randomized and light-hearted to showcase a candidate’s presence of mind.

After submitting an application, candidates will receive a link in your application status portal. This will enable them to register with Kira Talent and complete their assessment. This link will appear up to 24 hours after submitting the application.

Candidates will be provided with preparation time and practice sessions before going live with their real responses. The whole online assessment should only take up to 30 minutes to complete.

Oxford Saïd requires two professional or academic references. Candidates need to note that by using the online application form, they will have to submit two references, preferably from professional referees. Once the referee details are put into the form, the referee will receive an automatic email from the school with details on how to complete the online reference form. Please note Oxford Saïd only accepts references from a valid work/professional/institutional email address and not from Gmail/Hotmail accounts.

Who can give a recommendation: You will have to provide details of one recommender who can be your reporting manager/ previous manager/ senior colleague/ current client/ previous client/ business partner/ supplier/ auditor etc.

How a letter of recommendation should be written: The recommender should add specific instances/examples of the candidate’s professional work together.

How to send the letter of recommendation: The recommender should send the recommendation from the official email id only. If the recommender does not have an official id – then a proof that you reported / or was supervised by this person should be attached.
